Dr Thorsten Stanley

Dr Thorsten Stanley

Dr Thorsten Stanley was born in Sweden and moved to England as a schoolchild, learning English as a second language. He completed his medical training in Scotland at Edinburgh University and subsequently Glasgow. He has been a consultant paediatrician and Senior Lecturer in paediatrics in Wellington since 1981. He has continuing specialty interests in paediatric allergy and infectious disease, but he is also a general paediatrician. Dr Stanley is employed by Wellington Hospital as well as having an active private practice. He is convenor of the DCH (Diploma in Child Health) CHHX702 Otago course nationally and has also been convenor of the Wellington GP Paediatric update course since its inception in 2002.
