This publication summarises a symposium on advanced liver disease that was held in Sydney during the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) AG 2022 conference. There were two presentations focused on hepatic encephalopathy followed by a question and answer session. Professor Shawcross from the UK presented remotely and Professor O’Beirne from Queensland attended in-person. The event was sponsored by Norgine.
